孙玲舞蹈学校 (Sun Ling School of Dance) 成立于 2001 年。今天, 我们是位于列治文山最受欢迎的表演艺术和舞蹈工作室之一。

Rachel Levitt

Rachel Levitt

Rachel Levitt is a dance teacher and choreographer, with a career that has taken her across Canada, the USA and UK. Highlights include Inspire Ballet and Dance (UK), Stagecoach (Mississauga and Oakville), Attitudes Master Class (Markham), Rhythm Dance Studio (Toronto), and the highly acclaimed summer training institution Stagedoor Manor (USA) where she taught classes in ballet, jazz, modern, musical theatre and Fosse, worked as an assistant choreographer for four musicals (Leap of Faith, Seussical, All Shook Up and Oklahoma), and a choreographer for the play Picnic.

She is also the creator and lead choreographer of Dance: Corps, a performance company whose credits include Another Day in COVID-19 Land: Flash Show (in partnership with The Dance Plug TO), the short film Dancing in a Time of Quarantine (Convergence Theatre’s Covid Commissions), Counting Blessings for Grey Area Collective’s Art in Isolation, “Normal People” (The Assembly Theatre’s Window of Opportunity Festival) and Something Different (Nicole Decsey Dance Projects The Gallery Show #1).

Her teaching style is known for being challenging, and for inspiring hard work and creativity. The goal is for students to leave her direction able to (or on route to being able to) do things they couldn’t do before, and most importantly for them to find the best version of their dancing selves.

Vanessa Lewis

Vanessa Lewis

Vanessa has been teaching dance to children of all ages for over 18 years. She received her early dance training in Alberta, studying the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and participating in competitions and festivals receiving numerous awards. She travelled to New York City and Vancouver to train at various dance centres before moving to Toronto to study at Canada’s National Ballet School. It was here that she completed a three-year teacher training program. During her time in the program, she received the Carole Chadwick Award, presented to a teacher in training who has demonstrated significant potential over his or her teacher training. Vanessa went on to teach ballet and conditioning at Canada’s National Ballet School and numerous dance schools in the Toronto area. She has been teaching at Sun Ling School of Dance for nearly 10 years.

Vanessa creates a training environment that fosters growth for each individual student allowing them to develop a love for the art of dance and discipline appropriate to each age level. Through hard work and artistry, she believes each dancer can achieve their goals.

Agnes Chow

Agnes Chow

Agnes found her passion in dance starting at the age of 4, training in Classical Chinese Dance, Chinese Folk Dance, and Ballet. She has taught kids of all ages and is always finding different ways to teach each learner best. Agnes has performed for many events for large organizations during Chinese New Year, mid-autumn festival, Canada day, etc. She hopes to be able to spread the beautiful culture and history of Chinese dance to the younger generations. Agnes has completed the entire student examination syllabus for Chinese dance by the Beijing Dance Academy and is a Certified Beijing Dance Academy syllabus teacher. As for ballet, she has completed her Gr. 8 examination with distinction from the Royal Academy of Dance.
